Make the Holiday Season brighter by lighting and decorating your home, yard and/or business. Become a 5th annual winner of our Country Christmas Best Decorated Contest! This year 4 categories will be judged: Best Traditional Display (Lights only decoration/display - lighted fixtures such as deer or snowmen are acceptable as long as they are illuminated by traditional strand lights and portray a nostalgic feel.) Best Small Display (Garden display, apartment/condo patio or deck display, window display) Best Large Display (Full yard/house display) Best Decorated Business Judging will take place from outside the residence or business and viewed from the street only. Judges will not enter the property to view back or side yards. The sheer number of decorated homes was astonishing, and the quality was truly unmatched. Please refer to the map that highlights some of the exceptional displays in our community.

Outdoor Ice Skating Location: Civic Plaza (2007 19 Street) Time: 7 a.m. - 11 p.m. Join us at Coaldale’s annual Night of Lights event and experience our brand-new outdoor ice rink at Civic Plaza! Glide under the festive lights and enjoy the atmosphere with family and friends. After you’ve spent some time on the ice, warm up with a delicious cup of hot chocolate from our concession. Please remember, no food or drinks are allowed on the ice surface—let’s keep it safe and fun for everyone! Need skates? Check out the library's new Skate Rental Program . Bring your creativity and join us in making fun, seasonal crafts for the whole family to enjoy. We’ll provide the supplies—you just bring the holiday cheer! Sparkle Tattoos Location: Coaldale Public Library (2014 18th St) Time: 4:30 - 6:45 p.m. Stop by the Coaldale Public Library for some festive fun with our Sparkle Tattoos. These temporary glitter tattoos are safe, waterproof, and last up to three days—perfect for kids of all ages looking to add a touch of sparkle to their day.
