- Light Displays | Coaldale Winter Fest
LIGHT DISPLAYS Adorn Downtown Coaldale Winter Walk in the Park and its beloved light displays are moving downtown! This year, Coaldale’s beloved Winter Walk in the Park light displays are making their way to Main Street and, most prominently, to Civic Plaza—Coaldale’s Community Living Room —as part of our first-ever Winter Fest . This exciting move brings the enchanting lights from the park into the very heart of town, turning Civic Plaza into a welcoming hub of holiday magic. By relocating these iconic light displays to Civic Plaza, Winter Fest highlights Coaldale’s Community Living Room as a central space where friends, families, and visitors can gather to celebrate the season. Positioned along Main Street, the light displays will also extend through the downtown area, adding warmth and sparkle to the streetscape. This move not only enhances accessibility for both locals and tourists but also opens up opportunities for more community groups, organizations, and businesses to participate by hosting at Civic Plaza as part of our Civic Plaza Winter Series . Civic Plaza will feature not just the beautiful light displays but also a new outdoor skating rink, cozy natural gas firepits, and a concession area, making it an ideal spot to gather, warm up, and enjoy the holiday spirit. By transforming Coaldale’s Community Living Room into a festive center, we’re creating a holiday experience that brings the entire community together and makes Winter Fest accessible and inviting for all. This downtown transformation marks an exciting new chapter for Coaldale, welcoming everyone to experience the magic of Winter Fest in a central, vibrant setting that reflects the spirit of community. We’re thrilled to see Civic Plaza come alive this season, glowing with the lights, warmth, and joy of the holidays! If you are a community group, organization or business interested in putting up a light display, please fill out the Light Display Application . Date: Friday, August 11 Time: 7:00 PM, the movie will begin sometime between 8:30 PM and 9:00 PM Location: Millennium Park (Hub Field) next to FCSS and behind the Ice Arena.
