Join Coaldale’s inaugural Winter Fest by hosting an event at the Civic Plaza! Community groups, organizations, and businesses are invited to create memorable experiences at the new Civic Plaza, featuring beautiful light displays previously part of Coaldale’s Winter Walk in the Park. Hosts will have access to the Concession Plaza, cozy outdoor fire pits, and the new outdoor skating rink. Fill out the Civic Plaza Host Application to request a date between November 29 and December 21 to help light up the season for our community.

Kinette Club of Coaldale
Tuesday, December 3 (5:30 - 8 p.m.) - POSTPONED to co-host with Kinsmen Club of Coaldale on Saturday, December 14.
Join the Kinette Club of Coaldale for hot chocolate, cookies, oranges and candy canes. Lace up for a skate at the new Civic Plaza outdoor skating rink and take a break to warm up at one of the natural gas firepits.
Glow Skate
Saturday, December 7, (5:30 - 8 p.m.) - POSTPONED to Kinsmen & Kinette Clubs of Coaldale on Saturday, December 14
Join us for our annual Glow Skate with music and a light show at the new Civic Plaza outdoor skating rink! Santa Claus will be there to hand out candy canes, pose for photos, and chat by the natural gas firepits. Enjoy festive wagon rides as part of the fun! Town staff will also be serving hot chocolate from the concession to keep you warm and cozy.

The Kinsmen will be hosting again in 2024 with a fan favourite, FREE hot dogs & smokies compliments of the Coaldale Food Market & Coaldale Inn! Join them for a glow skate with a live DJ, wagon rides, hot dogs, candy canes, hot chocolate, hot apple cider, fires and ice skating. Rumor has it Santa is expected to make an appearance as well.
